Found across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, this playful songbird is characterized by its long elegant tail, short, rounded wings and delicate feet. Its olive-green feathers are punctuated by dramatic red vents.
The Rock Pigeon
A strong and swift flyer, the plump Rock Pigeon is celebrated for its ability to navigate its way home, across deserts and valleys, which offer few navigational landmarks.
The Bee-Eater
Brightly colored, with red, yellow, blue and purple feathers, the Bee-Eater feasts on wasps, bees and other insects. A treat for the ears, as well as the eyes, they harmonize in joyful chorus.
